1. Acceptance of Terms

By using JoyStitch ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

JoyStitch is a social media platform for cross-stitchers to share their stitching, keep track of their thread stash and patterns, join stitch-alongs and challenges, and connect with other stitchers.

3. User Accounts

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.
• One account per person. Automated accounts are not permitted.

4. User Content

• You retain ownership of all stitching, photos and other content you post.
• By posting content, you grant JoyStitch a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display, distribute, and promote your content within the App and marketing materials.
• You may not post content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
• We may remove content that violates these terms or our community guidelines.

5. Prohibited Conduct

• Harassment, bullying, or intimidation of other users.
• Posting content you do not have the right to share.
• Spamming, including repetitive likes, comments, or follows.
• Attempting to access other users' accounts or private data.
• Using the App for any commercial purpose without our consent.

6. AI Features

JoyStitch uses artificial intelligence to generate descriptions and tags for posts, to read the thread legend of a pattern and to turn your photos into cross-stitch patterns (photo to pattern). These are provided for convenience and may not always be accurate; please check a chart and its thread list before you start stitching. AI-generated content does not represent the views of JoyStitch or its users.

7. JoyStitch Pro and Purchases

JoyStitch is offered by TrailCode, Segment 3, 6921 RC Duiven, the Netherlands. Most of JoyStitch is free. Some extras are paid:

• JoyStitch Pro is a subscription (monthly or yearly) with extra features, such as more photo patterns per month and extra printable thread cards (your whole stash on one card, strand test cards and sorting by color family). Prices are shown before you buy and include VAT.
• Photo pattern packs are one-time purchases of a number of photo patterns. Unused photo patterns from a pack do not expire.
• Automatic renewal: a subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel it. Yearly subscribers receive a reminder before renewal.
• Cancelling: you can cancel at any time. Bought in the app: through the subscription settings of the App Store or Google Play. Bought on joystitch.app: through the link in your receipt e-mail or on your account page. Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
• Right of withdrawal: Pro and photo patterns are digital content that is delivered immediately. When buying, you agree that delivery starts right away and that you therefore lose your 14-day right of withdrawal. This does not affect your rights if something does not work as promised; contact us and we will find a solution.
• Refunds: purchases in the App Store or Google Play are refunded through Apple or Google under their rules. For purchases on joystitch.app, contact [email protected].
• Price changes: we will tell you in advance about a price change for your subscription; you can cancel before it takes effect.
• If your account is terminated for violating these terms, paid features end without a refund for the remaining period, unless the law requires otherwise.

8. Challenges

Monthly challenges and stitch-alongs are community events. Winners are determined by like count. We reserve the right to disqualify entries that violate our terms. No monetary prizes are awarded unless explicitly stated.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the Settings menu.

10. Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
